World Cup 2007 leaves Bob Woolmer dead...

Oops they did it again...

If we thought that things are fine this time and Indian Cricket Team is going to have a smooth ride in this World Cup unlike previous World Cups then we are wrong...Just like how some big time celebrations happen everytime Superstar's movie hit the screens World Wide, some big time bashing is bound to happen every time India gets beaten black and blue in World Cup...

India's poor show at the opener against Bangladesh has triggered a series of routine events...

Indian Cricket Fans burning effigies of Indian Cricketers...

An Indian fan dies watching the washout game...

Some fans storm into MS Dhoni's house in Ranchi and hurl bricks at the same and burn his effigy...In 2003, it was Kaif's house...

Senior cricketers demand exclusion of Sehwag and inclusion of Kaif...The irony is that the same people wanted to exclude Kaif out of last worldcup...

As far as our neighbours go, Shoaib Akthar must be having a good laugh at his team's expense. Inzy who dropped Akthar for fitness reasons must have learnt a lesson now...The thing is how can that Aloo drop Akthar in the first place for fitness when he himself is not fit?

I just checked rediff.com now and the news is that Bob Woolmer is dead...Poor guy, I guess he got so scared entering Paki land that he died of mysterious reasons...Hmm...

Rajesh, you can carry on with your plans of watching "Shivaji - The Boss"...It would no longer clash with the aniticipated April 15 - India Vs Pak match...

India's first innings in World Cup 2007...

I am writing this in the midst of India-Bangaladesh Match...Dada, the only Indian Cricketer doing right now a minimum of endorsements has scored the highest in Indian Innings followed by Bollywood Item Girl's heartthrob - Miss/Mrs Kim Sharma (Yuvraj Singh). Ofcourse Mr Dependable and the tailenders have contributed a lil in their own ways and have saved us from digging a big pit...

I dont wish to say anything about the Little Master as there seems to be a strong belief that Indian never wins the match in which Sachin scores...So his place in the team is that of a lucky mascot...

Mr Siyarams/Bryllcream has scored a knocking or mocking zero...Guess he could not hold the bat with so much of Bryllcream in his hands...Lets see whether he does not miss any catches (if any) in the Bangladesh Innings for the same reasons...

Deepa's latest post predicts why India will win this worldcup...But have we not been saying the same since 1987? We all find solace in the fact that Indian Team is the (compared to the mighty and lousy aussies) and an underdog always wins...Underdog wins only in movies!

I am hoping that India wins too - Infact I want NZ to beat AUS in the semi-finals as its the only team capable of doing so and we get to meet NZ in the finals...and then let the best team WIN!

The dogs are having their day...

I heard the following from a friend recently...

Looks like my friend's colleague Mr R was travelling with Mr Ratan Tata enroute from NY to Mumbai in Business Class. Mr Tata was found to be really cool and he spoke with Mr R about his company, business scenario blah blah...

When the flight landed at Mumbai, Mr Tata offered to drop Mr R at his destination but Mr R had refused the offer politely saying that his company car would pick him up. At the exit Mr R noted that 3 Ferraris had come to the Airport to pick Mr Tata and 2 big dogs stepped out of the 1st and 3rd Ferrari and ran to Mr Tata who treated them to English Chocolates. Then he got into the 2nd car and the dogs got into the 1st and 3rd car and all of them left leaving Mr R not surprised...
