A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have , a work station...what more can I say!
Having worked in a PC maker company like Dell Computer Corporation, I should not be saying the above :p but I guess that's the truth!

At a bus station, bus not only stops, it also starts. Thats why it is better to call it a station than stop.
Ahem, I see a point. So you are saying that work starts at a work station too? Good :)
