Peter Colt to Silas...Paul Bettany!!!
I had become a fan of Paul Bettany thanks to "Wimbledon" movie. I liked his looks, dialogue delivery, cute smile, good acting, inshort everything about him. I have not seen any other movie of his but am keeping fingers crossed to see him in "The Da Vinci Code". But I am so damn upset that he is doing the role of Silas. Hmm...though Bettany gonna play the second most important character(Silas)(the most important character of the movie is Robert Langdon played by my fav actor Tom Hanks), and am sure that he would give a class act, its just that I dont want to see him die in that movie...Unfortunately thats what the script/story demands...Sigh!!!

IIT students and suicides
Another IIT student has comitted suicide.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1514995.cms
IIT students committing suicides is not new. But hanging oneself just for the fact that he/she had failed the semester is an extreme step. God wonders why these students tend to such resorts? Its really sad when you read something like this in the papers. Most of these students are subjected to so much stress and pressure mainly because of the excess expectations from their families and peers. They struggle 2-4 years to crack the JEE, and 2 years to crack the GATE sacrificing sleep, food, social life and get into the portals of IIT. There is a misconception among the students, that now that he/she has got into IIT, the route to a bright career is certain. Cracking the JEE/GATE and cracking the semesters at IIT is an altogether different plate. Alas, only few realise this...
Well, now that there's always been an argument about the kinda publicity anything/anyone associated with IIT get, the Press (the rotten ones - I mean the TimesOfIndia) have released records of previous deaths of IITians today.
Wonder where these press guys vanish when asked to report a similar mishappening at a less known institute...
